BAUSCH & LOMB`s `THE DISCOVERER` zoom telescope (or spotting scope as they became known!) is very similar to other fine japanese models such as SWIFT`s ZOOMSCOPE – The DISCOVERER stayed in production for nearly 30 years I believe and it works really well, with the built-in 15 60x zoom control located close to the focusing control making adjustments very easy and precise A conventional tripod screw mount is fitted and a retractable sun shade or lens hood. The scope was also designed to be used as a telephoto lens with a required mount to attach to an s.l.r. camera.
