These have seen combat. Pair of binoculars / marine glasses. Bought in an antique shop in Malta. The guy told me it’s from a bombed out building, likely used by the British or Maltese soldiers in WWI and/or WWII. Condition:  Good working order,  minor marks of corrosion. Look like they’ve seen combat to be honest, but have survived!!!! Likely used to identify planes & ships. Many scratches – see photos closely!!! Real piece of history. This is a pair of antique Victorian brass & copper binoculars, with 50mm objective lens and 16mm eye lens diameter. The binoculars have contractable body sections. Image focus is achieved by turning the centre focus knob. The binoculars have solid copper body structure with brass working parts and they are in good working condition, but show heavy use. This item is considered to be a very rare pair of Victorian binoculars prior to WWI, with important historical value due to military service. Some main features::Objective lens diameter: 50mmNot hallmarked.Eyepiece diameter: 16mmCentre focusCopper metal body construction with brass working parts Size: 130(W) x 155(H) x 60(D)mm when fully closed; 130x180x60mm when binocular tubes fully extended, excluding the sunshade.Weight: 500g
