Antique Twin Telescope Brass Field Glasses Binoculars With Leather Case.
Lloyd Optician Boston is stamped in the eyeglass surrounds suggesting these were made in Boston, Massachusetts, by Andrew J. Lloyd Company, suggesting they date from around 1900.
The front bar is engraved with “Magnifying 14 Times 16 Glasses”
The binoculars are approx 4in across when flattened, and go from 7in closed to 9.5in when extended.
The case is approx 7.5x5x2.5 deep
The large lenses are 28mm in diameter.
They are in good working order.
The leather case has a lovely patina and is quite sturdy, but the lid is detached and there are no straps.
On the inside is a label saying Robert Youd, and written on the inside leather is Eccleston, Chester
Condition is “Used”. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
