Antique binoculars from London, sold in the 1950s – with original receipt. These are by Wray*. They were sold in Central London, very close to Soho and the West End, and were likely purchased for theatre use. These are in good antique condition, though the lenses are a bit scratched up. A fantastic piece of vintage decor.

*Wray binoculars are highly collectable. In the 1950s and 1960s, British binocular makers were competing against the Japanese and German imports of the time. The British versions were extremely well-made, and more expensive and valuable than their competitors. This pair was purchased for the modern equivalent of around 300.
