Antique Binoculars Set of 4 Pairs with 2 Cases, Vintage 20th Century. Both cases have significant wear, one is in bad disrepair and would be a project to fix, the binoculars that belong to this case still fit in the case and the latch of the case is functioning fine. The base of the aforementioned case is loose and requires care when handling, the leather that surrounds the case is beginning to perish and has torn in places. The other case has a loose strap that used to be used to secure the lid down, the original shoulder strap is also missing, made from leather this case has wear and sun-bleach staining. The binoculars that belong to this case have dents in the metal frames surrounding one lens but the rest of the structure of the binoculars are in good condition with wear and scratching to the leather handles and paint surrounding the lenses. The binoculars belonging to the significantly damaged case have notable damage including; outer leather covering has been removed on one handle, the plastic framing to both of the viewing lens’ have pieces missing. The other 2 pairs of binoculars have slight wear and paint/metal scratching on their surfaces, one pair has a crack to one of the plastic frames surrounding a viewing lens, otherwise these two pairs are in good condition complete with leather shoulder straps, ALL these binoculars are old and require care when handling they are fragile, (please see images for the condition of all binoculars and cases).
ALL pairs of binoculars are working but need cleaning/maintenance, none of the lenses are damaged.
