Antique binoculars – J.H. Steward c1900
Marked with the 7 Gracechurch St. address, as well as the Strand address, I estimate the age of these to be around 1900. They are small (approximately 3.5″ – 9cm long when not extended) so are possibly opera glasses.
These are in a poor, somewhat battered, condition. However they still work well giving a clear image and move in and out very smoothly making them easy to focus. The lid has become detached from the case but could be restitched quite easily.
