Herewe have a superb R & J Beck WW1 3 draw trench signal telescope. It is marked “TEL.SIG. Mk IV also G.S. R & J.BECK .Ltd LONDON 1917, No6659 along with the crow’s foot mark showing it is a military issue. The telescope is made from brass and has leather mountings. A great WW1 piece that no doubt saw service during WW1.It measures approximately 36 inches or 914mm when fully extended.Optically the telescope is in good working order with just a little dust in the lenses as you would expect and one small chip to the edge of the largest lens that in no way affects viewing. The leather covering needs some attention as one of the end caps is missing and the centre leather piece is detached. A really good original untouched example.Allin all a stunning WW1 period telescope that is ideal for any serious military collection.
