A VINTAGE 3 DRAW TELESCOPE. PLAITED HANDLE.

Having received instructions to clear a property prior to it being placed on the market, we happily obliged and concluded the work. Part of the instructions stated specifically that everything was to be removed from the house including the whole of the content of the outbuildings and also the garage. This latter, a huge triple affair, housed an enormous amount of already pre-collected items,’ which were mostly boxed and catalogued. They do say every dog has his day……….. this was most definitely mine!
This item is a three draw, brass, telescope with plaited thread handle. The item is stiff to fully open and a spot of machinery oil should assist enormously. The scope has a shutter on the eyepiece and an end cap for the top end. Magnification is jolly good. When fully open it measures 16 5/8. Closed down 6.
