Believed to be a pair of Edwardian opera glasses, working well and smoothly. Case is poor but original, missing its button, does not stay closed. There’s a slight rattling sound if you jiggle them – I think all the lenses are a trifle loose – it doesn’t affect the performance at all though and seems to be how it was made.
I’ve included in the description a picture of an advertisement from 1905 showing the glasses in question, advertisement is not included in the auction but I thought it might be of interest.
