Message from rodwil0 – I have been on ebay since 2004 and have sold many items. Because I am a good seller with a high feedback score, in their wisdom, ebay have insisted that I change my account which is something that I do not wish to do. As a consequence, ebay have restricted my selling as rodwil0 and suggested that I start a new account. So here we are, a new account name but with the same level of service.

The previous owner had this set of French binoculars documented as being made by Society des Lunettes. They carry a triangular logo with the letters SL either side of a trident-like symbol. On the opposite cover plate they have a similar triangle carrying the name Avla with 6×22 below. They are an unusual little binocular having very similar construction detail to another French set also listed (identified # 503). Cosmetically they have quite a lot of paint rubbing but the leather covering is very good. Both eye cups look original and are undamaged. The central focusing is smooth but does crab sometimes and needs coaxing. The dioptre focusing is smooth. The optics are undamaged but are dirty and require cleaning.
