The binoculars have been very kindly donated to St. Giles Hospice.

The binoculars come in a structurally sound condition and I can see no signs of any breakages, repairs, cracks or chips to their outer casing. Aesthetically, though, they do exhibit some light signs of wear. For instance, evidence of surface scratching, scuffing and paintwork loss are visible (e.g. to the area of casing that surrounds the objective lenses), but thankfully these are not too intense. The binoculars, though, are a little on the dirty side (e.g. around the perimeters of the lenses themselves), so they could perhaps benefit from a quick clean by the winning bidder. I have uploaded a number of photographs of the binoculars, so please take a close look at these to help make your own assessments regarding their condition.

Optically, the binoculars continue to provide a nice, sharp image. Looking backwards through the binoculars’ objective lenses, I can see no damage to the internal prisms. Please note, though, that down the left barrel there are a few patches (perhaps four or five) of fungal growth, which range from just beneath the surface of the right objective lens to its centrally-located prism. Fortunately, these are not too large in scale and are fairly diffuse in nature, but please do take this fungal presence into account when bidding. Also note that underneath the left objective lens, a small area of black fabric-like material extends ever-so-slightly from its bottom but thankfully does not cause any great occlusion. Regarding both the left and right barrels, there appears to be a mild presence of condensation that takes a speckled-like appearance. To the best of my knowledge the objective lenses and the lenses of the eyepieces appear free from any significant scratching (albeit it is possible that there is some light scratching that I have missed).

The relative position of the binoculars’ barrels remain freely adjustable. The centrally-located focusing dial continues to work well and with nice smooth movements. Please note that this is the only focusing dial that the binoculars contain (i.e. there is not one associated with the right eyepiece).
The binoculars have a pre-attached neck-strap that remains structurally sound but has experienced some localised surface material loss.
Accompanying the binoculars are two objective lens caps (no lens caps for the eyepieces’ lens are included).
Additionally, the binoculars come with a hard case. This remains in a good, sturdy condition. Nevertheless, please note that it does exhibit some signs of surface wear from its time in storage (e.g. light surface scratching, minor impact marks, slight loss of surface material). Regarding the case’s interior, there is a slight peeling to its fabric lining on the underside of its lid, as well a presence of circular imprints from where the lens’ surrounds have pressed in at the top and bottom.
Approximate dimensions (when there is a maximum distance between the eyepieces) of the binoculars: 10.8 cm (width) x 12.2 cm (depth) x 3.9 cm (height).Weight of the binoculars (including neck-strap): 591 grams.
