The second picture is of the back of the packaging where the case is fitted. The photo makes it looks like there is a tear in the case. It is in fact due to reflection and a crease in the plastic package.There is a break in the plastic package at the top right which has been sealed with sellotape. The binoculars and the case are perfect.
