These are my trusted and long service Steiners. I bought these in 1999 and took them on our transatlantic crossings aboard our boat. As such they are clearly a Used item. I used them extensively during the 3 years we had the boat but since then they have sat in my cupboard. They are fabulous in clarity and unbeatable on a stormy night in the Atlantic. The compass is illuminated by night and makes taking a bearing easy.
In preparation for selling them I sent them back to Steiner in Germany who refurbished the compass and checked them it all over. They have returned them to me with new eye rubbers, strap and lens covers. They are now as good as new and ready for new adventures. The Steiner warranty with these binoculars is 30 years and I can vouch for their boast that this is a no quibble warranty. There are still 10 years warranty available.
To buy the equivalent new today will be around 1,000.
