Hi Selling a Military Specification Questar 7″ maksutov.

The basic Q7 telescope is 2413mm FL (F/13.6). The step zoom lenses convert it to about 635mm (F/3.57), 1016 (F/5.71) and 4826mm (F/27.2). The filters and lenses are in the rear offset case and are selected by rotating the carousels by hand. The fixed eyepiece / camera port is on the back of the carousel casing. The primary mirror focussing range allows visual use at the longer FLs with a diagonal and bino viewer if needed. The shorter FLs are meant for webcam sized cameras but half-frame sensors are OK at 2413 and 5600mm. Focus is via a rack and pinion plus reduction gearbox driven by a stepper motor and will interface with Lakeside and Hitecastro, for example. The dovetail is Vixen and the whole 13kg rig was easily handled by an EQ6 mount. The F/8 600mm FL finder will take a Lodestar or similar for finding and tracking. Red dot finder included.
Condition notes 1 A small chip out of the edge of the Q7s primary mirror. 2 The finder / tracking scope doesnt line up exactly with the Q7 and has no knob-twiddling way to adjust it. 3 The Q7 tube has various marks and scratches over the years.
