Sky Watcher Maksutov 127mm.The design gives the focal length of a refractor in a short tube but without any colour aberrations. Image scale means that the scope is ideal for planetary observations.The scope itself is in excellent condition with just one small scratch as shown. Optics are unmarked.
The alt azimuth mount has been stripped, the worms properly aligned and lubricated with kilopoise grease so both axes have a smooth feel with no backlash ( the main complaint about this type of mount)
Ive put the mount on an extremely heavy duty Slik88 tripod, the type used to carry car battery sized video cameras in the 1980s.
The set up comes with 4 plossl eyepieces, 40,25,20,and 10mm, all new apart from the 10mm.
These give a magnification of 37,60,75, and 150 x.
Its a superb set up, this and a sky map app on your phone will have you going in no time, and its easily portable for taking to a dark sky site.
I can post, I will send the optics and mount separately but bear in mind the scope will not be insured as it contains glass, so courier at your risk.
