CarlZeiss Jena DDR “Jenoptem” 8 x 30w binoculars serial number3839420 (1971.) This is a pair of genuine East German Zeissbinoculars clearly marked “DDR” and with the correct7-digit serial number. These binoculars are in full working order, crystal-clear internally, no trace of fungus or haze . Centrefocussing is beautifully smooth, collimation perfect (no doubleimage). The only minor issues are alittle dust in the optics and scratches on the prisms seen on reverseviewing. But these do not affect normal viewing in any way. Cosmeticcondition is normal for binoculars of this age which have seenregular, a little wear to the paint and a few tiny dents here andthere.
