Dating from 1970’s? -this rare and interesting telescope from the old USSR is offered complete with the original (and unusual) two-part hard case and the leather shoulder/neck strap. In comes in the original cardboard box with Russian wording and also a green Helios outer box. The cosmetic and optical condition (making some allowance for around 40 years of use) is really pretty good and the telescope is fully operational.Overall, this is a rare and collectible optic which should still provide good use to this day.Russian TYPNCT-3 20×50 3 draw telescope with its hard body screw top carry case and strap. Superbly made conventional style telescope with a metal body and focusing eyepiece. Closed the telescope measures 10 inches (25.5 cm) and extended is 20 inches (51 cm). Fucusing is by way of a rotating eyepiece. The body is provide with a standard threaded mount for fitting to a tripod. Complete with its original hard plastic screw top carry case with a shoulder strap. As with other optical products from the USSR during the Soviet era the quality of the optics are excellent. A nice instrument that is small and light enough to carry easily when out walking, or on holiday (weight 600g telescope only)see pics for further spec! Dioptric adjustment -7 to +15.
