This is a vintage boxed telescope that was given to my son as a child in the 1990s. I’m not sure of its age but it wasn’t new when he got it. The style of the box suggests it may be 1960s or 1970s.
I have no technical knowledge of this item and the instruction leaflet went missing a long time ago. On the box it is described as a powerful scope for long range viewing, with a precision coated lens system, giving bright and sharp images. I have tried it and it does seem to work. On the end of the box it says “Telescope 30 X 40mm. No. S 6070. Made in Japan”.
The telescope is attached to its own tripod and has a lens cap at each end. It measures 27.5″ ling fully extended. It is in very good condition but the box is a bit battered.
