Superb Vintage Edwardian Period8x30 Deltrintem Binoculars Made byCarl Zeiss Jena Germanycirca 1930This is an excellent pair of very rare Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8×30 binoculars, we cannot date them exactly as the serial number boss has come away, however date them to circa 1930. (We guarantee they are Zeiss binoculars and not copies which is immediately recognisable from the superior lenses and of course can be returned if you are not happy) They are stamped to the shoulders as normal with Zeiss product information and then to the objective end with “Negretti & Zambra Holborn Circus London” who were suppliers for Zeiss optics at this time. Condition report: The black finish is in good vintage condition with minor wear shown in the enlarged photographs below, the optics return good imaging with correctly aligned(collimated) prisms that are not loose or damaged, so no double vision or rattles. The focus wheel is a little stiff however works correctly allowing for good focus. The brown leather carrying case is sound, has some wear but again good for age. It is marked with British Army broad arrows or crow foot and was originally supplied by Ross of London so we doubt this is the original case.Don’t miss out on this superb piece of history to use or as a wonderful collectors item.
