PAIR OF ANTIQUE BRASS BINOULARS / FIELD GLASSES** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN AFTER THE DESCRIPTION TO SEE THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THIS ITEM. IF YOU WANT TO SEE ANY FURTHER IMAGES PLEASE JUST ASK. **This pair of antique binoculars probably date from the early part of the twentieth century. They may be First World War field glasses, although we are not sure of this. The binoculars have brass cases that have been black lacquered and leather grips. They are stamped 7422 in various places and there is a maker’s mark RT. The glasses are also stamped MG. They appear to be in good working order.Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. They are grubby and would benefit from being cleaned. There is some wear and scuffing to the lacquered finish and the leather grips. There is a chip in the right-hand eye piece and some slight scratching to the lenses. The strap and case are both missing. Please refer to photographs below.The approx. measurements are as follows:13cm long (closed). (Ref. #12544)
