Celestron Astromaster 130EQ-MD TelescopeHere we have a superb starter scope for anyone interested in astronomy. From a complete beginner to a keen amateur astronomer I have enjoyed using this telescope and it has given me some great views of the universe! The only reason I am selling it is that I have bought another, bigger, scope to further my learning as I have developed a real interest! As a result, you can be sure that this telescope has been well looked after during its lifetime. The only issue with this item is that it is missing the accessory tray that sits in the tripod. This has no impact on the scope as rigidity is maintained by the by the tri-wing connectors.The primary mirror on this unit has been personally centre spotted by me and the collimation was adjusted to perfection prior to disassembly.The telescope comes with 2 eyepieces, a 20mm and a 10mm. Both are clear and in good working order. Another feature to this scope is the motor drive. This allows you to track an object as it moves across the night sky. This is great when you want to observe something for a reasonable period of time without adjusting the slow-motion controls. It is particularly useful if you want to show other people what’s in your scope without having to continuously track it yourself.The telescope also features a mount that allows you to piggyback your DSLR camera to take amazing photos of the sky at night. Combine this with the motor drive and you can get fabulous photos of long exposure without star-trailing.You too can enjoy views of Jupiter and it’s moons, Saturn and it’s rings and even deep space objects such as nebulae and other galaxies! I started ticking off my Messier collection with this telescope.
