This is a usable example of a Quick Focus Rifleman Telescope made by J.H.Stewart. Focusing is achieved by rotating the eyepiece in its tube. There is a good focusing range from 8 paces to the far distance. The telescope is in fair condition. There is a little dirt on the eyepiece lens and slight deterioration of the objective lens. The stitching on the leather tube is fragile and missing in a few places but the leather is still firmly attached to the tube. There are no leather end caps.The draw tubes have wear marks and a few small dents. The wear marks are shown in photo 5. The narrower (second?) tube is slightly loose showing the telescope has been well used.
The
telescope will be securely packed with a mixture of new and recycled
materials. They will be shipped by volunteer staff on the first
Tuesday or Monday after payment has cleared. You are welcome to
collect in person but will be asked to pay by cash or cleared cheque.
Shipping
to areas outside the UK mainland may involve additional costs. Please
check with us before bidding. People outside the UK are unable to bid
because we do not ship to these areas.
