1931 L.Casella Binoculars made in London with original Case
L.Casella collectors item, nice pair of binoculars believed to been made in 1931, based on the marks on the main body. Outside shows some normal signs of wear but no major dents or scratches, just some worn paint. Glass elements show normal signs of wear that come with age- on one side the smaller glass element shows snowflake type fungus growth, but it doesn’t really affect the vision through the device. If taken apart, the edges of glass elements show slight signs of age, but that’s natural. The device comes in a lovely original case, lined with blue silk and has a lovely closing clip, as seen on photos.
L. Casella was a scientific and optical instrument maker based in London and the pair of binoculars represent a small part of it’s history
