Celestron’s SkyMaster
Series of large aperture binoculars are great value high performance binoculars
ideal for astro and land use – especially over long distances.
This SkyMaster
25×100 has really high quality BAK-4
prisms and multi-coated optics for enhanced image contrast, but…….. big
binos have big problems keeping the image in alignment (creating a ‘double image
– really uncomfortable viewing).
What
really sets these apart is the solid metal body and optical alignment
bridges – these are big, heavy, solid and substantially tougher than ‘old
boots!’
Fantastic for
Coast Watch, Big Views, Astro etc, you are definitely going to need a tripod
with these, but the pay-off is a superbright, really sharp image which, (unlike
spotting scopes and telescopes) will give you a stunning idea of 3D depth for
objects miles and miles away.
