Carl Zeiss Jena Binoculars 8x30W Jenoptem & Case in excellent condition.
I am selling this item without any technical knowledge of binoculars. I have tested and they appear to work properly with all moving parts turning. The only thing I’ve noticed is the left diopter focus (I googled it) turns differently to the right, more loose and continues to turn further. I don’t know if this is even an issue, I am just trying to be as honest with the item as possible. Ultimately they focus very well and it took me a little while to notice.
CONDITION
They were bought in the 70/80s for my dad by my mum. She doesn’t know exactly when but they came from a shop so they are genuine (there are articles online about fake 8x30s). Apparently they were hardly used, and looking at the condition it’s not surprising. They have not been out of their case in over 20 years.
Please check the photos for for condition, I will say though the photos almost make them look less ‘perfect’ than they actually are – aside from a couple of tiny scuffs around the objective focus (yep, google) they look like new. The leather case is also in great shape with the inner felt like new.
We are selling due to a house clearance, hence pricing to sell.
