This is a branded Plossl eyepiece. At 25mm it is relatively low-powered. The optics are sharp and clear, and when combined with a 2x Barlow lens (your telescope probably came with one) will jump up to 12.5mm, which is a medium power.This eyepiece offers lovely sharp and contrasty views right to the edge of the field. Objects such as the Moon look gorgeously sharp and, depending on the focal length of your telescope, will fit the entire Moon in view. I have ‘superior’ eyepieces in my collection and still reach for this 25mm as it performs very well under the right conditions. It also has a wide lens that is very comfortable to look through, even if you wear glasses.A lower power eyepiece is also very useful for finding targets with, after which you may switch to a higher power once you have the object centered. This makes star hopping and generally finding targets a less stressful task, and with the coatings provided on the lenses in this eyepiece more light will come through, allowing you to better detect dimmer stars and objects in general.
