Vintage MK1 Telescope AA for Radar Alignment – MoD, Military, Army, Navy, Air Force
A superb military telescope, estimated to date from the World War II era or 1950s-1960s.
I have no technical knowledge about this scope, but understand that it would have been used in aligning radar dishes and gun bores. I also do not know which military service would have used this telescope or the environment of use (land bases or field, sea or air).
The main barrel is approximately 31 cm long (including the silver-grey section at the viewing end).
From research via google, I gather that such telescopes were of a ruggedised construction and were bulletproof and unbreakable. The telescope is made of a solid metal body and is heavy for it’s size.
The penultimate photo shows the grid that can be seen when viewing through the eyepiece (captured by holding my camera against the eyepiece and pointing skyward.
The markings on the telescope provide the following details:

Made in the United Kingdom – by B.E. Ltd.
A rarely available item of militaria and a great addition to any collection of British Military history.
