Vintage,simple leather covered binoculars with sturdy leather case.There isno brand name on the binoculars, nor any other inscription therefore noindication of magnification.
Visionthrough the lenses appears good. Distancebetween eye optics is fixed. Focus isachieved by turning the dial so that the eye optics extend.
The casingof the binoculars is covered in black/dark brown leather and appears to be madeof brass which has been painted black. Thecasing shows some wear as would be expected with an item of its age. There are scuffs and marks on the leather and the black paintis peeling off in places to reveal the brass underneath.
When notin use the binoculars would be an attractive ornament in an appropriate placesuch as a bookcase or old desk.
Binoculars measurements(unextended): 12cm x 12cm, weight: 580 grams.
The darkbrown leather case is sturdy and shows signs of age. The strap is broken so is short and has beensecured in place with string. There is abelt loop on the back of the case.
