This was bought as an extremely modern and luxurious gift for my husband when he was a child in the 1960s. He knows nothing of the tech specs but simply says, “It certainly works”. I’m seeing it as a collectible or a wonderful near antique stage prop, and probably very recognisable to antique boys’ toy buffs. It’s therefore on sale as is, as it looks, with no guarantee that it has any real quality to it in terms of how far into the stars it can actually probe.
It’s not in the best of conditions externally as there is quite some scuffing, see pics. The big bolt for holding it in a stiff position on its tripod is also not functioning, though could be oiled or clamped and forced into action.
This has been stored for several decades in smoke free homes, and not used essentially since the 1960s.

Hermes should take 2-3 working days to reach you after collection from here, but collection from here can only happen the day after you pay, and if you pay before 7pm, as that’s when we make the order.
