CARL ZEISS JENA SPORTUR 6X24***UK sales only – sorry***These are in surprisingly good condition. Mechanically they are good, with smooth central focus, and OK central hinge. The right diopter eyepiece is frozen however (presumably fixable, if you know how). The good news is it has become stuck right in the “correct”, central, position so that, unless your eyes are astigmatic, you will have both eyes in correct focus.Internally these are very good. There is minimal dust or dirt, very little for a glass of their age. There is no fungus. No chips to prisms or lenses. There is slight haze towards the edges inside both barrels.The view through is very good. Little brightness will have been lost, and they work surprisingly well for the size of the objectives. The quality of the glass is very apparent. The sharpness is excellent, as is the field of view. The collimation is also very good – no double image.Body is in very good condition, with only paint wear to edges. Bake lite eyecups very solid – no cracks. No rattles, dents, or cracks anywhere. The case is beautiful, and in solid condition, with strong hinge, and working fastener, with functioning elastic. Someone has written what seems to be their name inside the lid (see photo), and the case strap is presumably missing a side buckle, as it is now sewn together – a nice tidy job tho! The binocular strap is sound.A nice collectible and/or useable pair.
