Up for sale are my grandfathers very high end Carl Zeiss (Jena) ASEMBI 20x/40×80 observation binocular of excellent performance and often favoured by astronomers The large barrel on each eyepiece is rotated to obtain one of the two powers 20x or 40x and Focusing of each eyepiece is by turning the eyecups the length of them is 59cm
These binoculars are in original finish and in very good condition and working fine,complete with original adjustable stand, i believe these were made in the 1960’s for military observation use for the cold war

The magnification 40x 80mm aperture allows to observe rings of saturn and also split many tight stars. It is an excellent performer for terrestrial as well as celestial observation
