87M/1000M.The binoculars have been very kindly donated to St. Giles Hospice.
Structurally, the outer casing of the binoculars comes in a sound condition and I can observe no evidence of any breakages, repairs, cracks or chips. Aesthetically, the binoculars also come in a good condition. There are, though, just the occasional signs of minor surface scratching, scuffing and paintwork loss. I have uploaded a number of photographs of the binoculars, so please do take a close look at these to help make your own assessments regarding their condition.
Optically, the binoculars continue to provide a sharp image. When looking backwards through the binoculars’ objective lenses, I can see no damage to the internal prisms nor any evidence of fungal growth, whilst there is just a relatively minor presence of internally-located fibres. The lenses of the eyepieces and objective lenses appear free from any significant scratching, but be aware that there may be some minor scratching that I have failed to detect.
Adjustments can be easily made to the relative positions of the binoculars’ barrels. The binoculars are brought into focus via a main central focusing dial, as well as a focusing dial associated with the right eye-piece. The movement of the former remains nice and smooth, but the latter is ever-so-slightly on the stiff side.
The binoculars come with a pre-attached neck-strap; three lens caps are also included (one of those associated with the eyepiece is missing).The binoculars comes with a soft case. They also come with their original box. This box remains nice and sturdy, but has acquired some general signs of wear from its time in storage.Approximate dimensions (maximum) of the binoculars: 19.3 cm (width) x 17.1 cm (depth) x 6 cm (height).
