Celestron Omni XLT CG-4 CG4 (equivalent to Skywatcher EQ3-2) Telescope Equatorial Mount And Steel 1.75″ Tripod + polarscope.
This mount and tripod are in good condition with a few little marks from standard usage. The CG-4 name tag still has the protective foil on as can be seen in the pictures. The gears run smoothly with the slow motion control knobs. The optional polarscope is included which allows for perfect polar alignment.
The tripod with adjustable 1.75″ steel legs is usually only supplied with EQ5 HEQ5 or equivalent mounts. These very stable tripod legs set the maximum payload capacity for this CG-4 at 10kg, where the standard EQ3-2 with aluminium tripod legs only has a maximum payload capacity of 7kg. The 1.75″ steel tripod legs currently retail separately for around 100.
The mount can be upgraded with a single axis and dual axis motor kit or even a Synscan Goto upgrade kit.
One of the counter weight thumb screws has a crack that has been taped as can be seen on the photos. It has been working fine like this but could be easily replaced.
