Helios: Visionary 150 CN Reflector.

150mm (6) f9.3 Catadioptric-NewtonianTelescopeFocal Length of optical system 1,400mmConsisting of f4.6 primary and 2x Barlow (built in to focuser).

The Visionarytelescope company use the equivalent of ‘Helios'(Optical Tube Assembly) and ‘TS Optics’ (Mounting) components to create their own offerings. This scope is equally as good as any 6 Cat-Newt scope out there…
Nicely collimated scope with good condition and clean, optics.
Eyepieces Included:Plssl 25mm = 55x Good for Moon and Deep SkyPlssl 6.5mm = 215x Great for Planets!

Mounting Spec:       EQ3 with Slow Motion controls and flexy knobs:Right Ascension = Worm 360 degree. Declination Axis = Worm 360 degreePolarAxis (AlignPolaris) = Currently set to 52 degrees North.Good quality, sturdy aluminium tripod.Extendible tripod legs and accessory tray.

Finder Included! :Brand New 5 x 24mm cross-hair finder will be supplied. Not seen on photos (it’s on order!).
Nice Big Aperture of 150mm / 6″

PARABOLIC MIRROR(Most important!)Parabolic mirrors bring all the light to the same focus. If you buy a telescope with a spherically figured mirror you will have fuzzy stars and blurred detail on the planets!

This is a brilliant starter or follow-on scope as it has great light gathering power and resolution, but only a short tube to help get to grips with handling a telescope on an equatorial mounting whilst enjoying relatively little ‘wind shake’.The equipment level is good with two eyepieces, an optical finder, slow motion controls and EQ3 mounting head on a very sturdy tripod.
The telescope is mounted on a proper equatorial mounting, with ‘slow motion knobs’, which is easy to set up and will allow you to follow the heavenly bodies easily.    I would not recommend you try following the stars in the sky using an Alt-Azimuth set-up.

This scope is not too heavy to move in and out to the observing site at just 13Kg.

What Wonders Will You See?

Imagine yourself beneath the coal black winter skies at the controls of this impressive instrument, slewing effortlessly from object to glittering object, following your own programme of celestial discovery!
Solar System: This telescope will show you a good amount of detail on the planets:
Mercury and Venus will show their phases.
Mars will show some dark markings and the polar cap when extensive.
You can see at least 30 Asteroids.(You can find any that is above Magnitude 11 reliably.)
Jupiter will show 2 – 4 belts and, of course, its four Galilean moons.
Saturn will show its ring system clearly and 3-4 moons on a ‘good’ night.
Uranus and Neptunewill be visible as tiny green/blue discs.
(You can glimpse Pluto by eye in this scope, but not with certainty!)  Moon: You will be able to explore the craters, mountains, rills and valleys of the Moon when it’s in a phase, and the ray craters when it’s full.

Deep Sky:This telescope will gather enough light to show magnitude 14 stars.
It will show all the Messier objects (M1 to M110) and many more NGC galaxies, nebulae and star-clouds too. The Andromeda Galaxy M32,
The Great Nebula in Orion M42,
The Dumb-bell Nebula M27
Great Globular in Hercules M13

… will all be clearly visible.  ( Good luck with M97, ‘The Owl’, though! )

The Pleiades, the Seven Sisters M45, will reveal many more members of their extended family in low power views that will amaze! Currently the ‘AutumnSky’ is on view and Jupiter,Saturn and Marsare well placed after dark, with Venus available before dawn!  About ME:I do not sell rubbish telescopes! My feedback depends on it… The astro-photo in this listing was taken with another Visionary 1501400 last week (Too cloudy this week so for!).I have 40+ years experience observing with telescopes. I sell only scopes that will be useful to amateur astronomers.  Please, visit my website by Googling “Super Cooper Telescope Help Jimdo”, and read the testimonials from many people I have helped. Or read my feedback here on eBay and see what my customers think of the service and equipment!  Thanks.

I will probably package the telescope and the mounting separately for safety reasons. There may be two boxes of approx. 5Kg and 8kgNeither of which will be the original box. A nice telescope which has to go to a good home where it will be apreciated.
PayPal Payment only.  You can pick it up if you wish, just message me before buying.
Thanks for reading. Good Luck.
