This is a pair of high-quality binculars which I would date to the 1960s (they are marked Empire Made) and which are marked VISCOUNT 8 x 30, hard coated lenses. Research shows that these have a wide angle viewing field of 75 degrees. Clarity is excellent and magnification very powerful; they are ideal for sports spectating (horse racing, distance or water events etc) as well as for Nature watching/ birding.These come in their original case, which shows a compass inset to the top edge, shoulder strap in leather.
