Having a clear out so selling my 8″ scope.
Celestron Nexstar GPS 8i Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope
Carbon Fibre optical tube, fastar compatible, Starbright coatings
computerised alt-azimuth mount and heavy tripod.
GPS reciever, automated alignment, comprehensive goto object library.
30mm wide field giant eyepiece, finder scope.
Optics are good, one or two specs of dust on inside of corrector plate.
One or two marks on the scope, comensurate with age.
Bad point !
The hand controller is temperamental it displays random characters
when first switched on calms down after 5 minutes, I had it apart and
repaired it a few years ago but the conection between the main board
and display is prone to problems.
If I where keeping the scope I would replace it (there’s one on ebay
at the moment for 90 )
As the scope is not spot on I’m starting the bidding a below what the
optical tube is worth.
Collection from High Wycombe or I could deliver to to you if you are
less than 20 miles from the M40 as I traverse said road frequently.
