Sky Watcher Powertank Battery (Holds Charge) with USB 5V outlets and LED lamp. Designed for supplying power to your telescope. Unlike other similar ones Ive had before, the battery still holds charge and the red cover isnt cracked (they dangle if unclipped so are often damaged).This is what you need if your telescope has a 12V input and you want to use it beyond the reach of a mains power cable. It has two car cigarette lighter style 12V outputs, as well as screw battery terminals which look like they might also be banana plug sockets.I got this powertank second hand with a telescope I recently bought, but I already have a fancy LiPo battery pack so I dont need it. The previous owner used it, and it seems to hold charge ok. I charged it a month ago and have run the lamp for a fair while since and it is still fine today. Being a lead acid battery, they dont last forever and will need occasional charging to avoid over-discharge. Most that appear on EBay havent been maintained and dont hold charge…This is the newer model that has an LED main lamp as well as two 5V 1.5A USB outlets so you can power your phone etc.. Unfortunately the upper lamp with the red cover is still a filament bulb (come on Sky Watcher, get with the times!), and the bulb seems to have blown (I tried it on a 12V supply and it didnt work there either). It is removable, but is a type Ive not seen before (shown in picture), but Im sure this can be replaced or, with some ingenuity, converted to LED (I would if I kept it!)The powertank is in good condition, as pictured. Ive tested the USB and 12V outlets, and the LED and it all works (except that bulb).It comes with a 15V 1A charger (which I dont think is original but is the right voltage and charges it ok), as well as a 12V lead for supplying your telescope (which fits in a handy cubby hole in the back).Condition is Used with working battery (but note the one blown bulb (replaceable) mentioned above). Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
