Mirador japanese binoculars and scopes were popular through the60`s and 70`s. Their metal bodied spotting scopes were sourced from the samefactories as Bausch & Lomb, Opticron, Swift and Viking, and like them,Mirador scopes offered very good optical performance and durable build quality, making them still highly usable today.Vintage Mirador 15-60x Zoom 60mm metal bodied spotting scope this is the same as the Bausch & Lomb Discoverer (which is a lot more expensive). Supplied with the scope is a Revue 323 tripod of a similar age which has a maximum working height of149cm. The scope and tripod have some signsof use, but nothing nasty and optically it performs reallywell as I expected it to. The scope has a twist out eyepiece, and a furthertwist out thread to take adaptors to mount a camera if the scope is to be usedas a telephoto lens. It also features a sliding lens hood and has both lenscaps.Scope and tripod are both in good condition and the optics look clear. Please view all photos carefully and I will try to answer any questions.
