Vintage Brass & Enamelled French Opera Glasses, LAMIER FABT PARIS A beautiful pair of French Opera Glasses by Lamier of Paris, possibly dated to around 1910 to 1920. In brass with a nice attractive design on blue enamel on silver (looks to be silver, but not sure, no markings). The lenses are quite clean, there is an inscription in both eye-pieces which reads ‘LAMIER FABT. – PARIS’.The glasses are in good condition for their age. However, there are some imperfections, wear from general use & some dings to the brass edges of the large lenses. Also the blue and silver decorative covers (finger grips) rotate, I dont think that they should, but they do.The glasses measure 1″ wide, 4″length, 2″ high (3 ” fully extended.) or 42 mm x 105 mm x 63 mm.They have been in a display cabinet for quite a while and just been lightly cleaned every now and again. Please bear in mind that the opera glasses are in used condition, they are not pristine; but they are still a very attractive display item.
