This is a vintage Voightlander & Sohn three-drawer telescope, marked with a 26X and numbered 32304.The front and back lenses both have their metal covers and look in very good condition but the inner lens needs cleaning to remove some grime (probably grease and dust). I’m reluctant to strip down the whole telescope as it is beyond hand tight but I will get round to it once I have the time and the right equipment. As far as I know, it should work as intended but it is being sold as a collectors display item. I suspect this is a military telescope and will do more research on when it was manufactured when I have the time.If you know an easy way of dating these via their serial numbers, please do let me know. This one’s 32304.
