Free postage.These 8×40 binoculars have a slightly larger rear optic so allow more light when lighting is poorer. (8×30 = 3.7 and 8×40 = 5).They are in superb optical, mechanical and cosmetic condition. No signs of fungus or internal damage. I have thoroughly checked the optics from the rear.
Binos. that use the normal wheel focusing can get stiff and difficult to focus quickly. On these you just push the control to left of right with a finger.

There is a tripod bush by unscrewing the cover with ‘Japan’ on it.There is a case but missing the top covering, but all it needs is some plastic and PVA.
The JL mark: Only those binocular andoptical manufacturers meeting Japans
Government standards of inspection and quality may use the authorized JL
symbol. This symbol accompanied by the letter E or B and the numberof
the respective manufacturer is engraved on the objective-end hinge or on the
cover plate. The letter E designating the metalwork manufacturer is
engraved on the right and the letter B designating the manufacturer of the
finished product is on the left.
PASSED labels. This oval silver paper label marked JTII certifiesthat
binoculars have complied with the export standards of the Japan Telescopes
Inspection Institute. It is usually found on the axle of the binoculars.
