19th c Pair Of Achromatic Binoculars c 1875 + Henry & Co – Strand – London
#449A 19th c pair of binoculars believed c 1875 + manufacturer is Henry & Co Opticians – Strand – London, on the lens is stamped – Achromatic – Day & Night – Field & Marine Glass. The glasses are well used and the smaller of the lens starred, the lens stick a little when being opened due to wear of the closing fixture washer in the centre of the glasses, the leather has come loose on one barrel and there are general signs of heavy usage (see Photo’s) However a nice pair of historical lensed binoculars, size closed is approx 125 mm, 5″ long.
