These are a really good set of binoculars which date (I believe) from the late 1960’s. They were originally bought by my father.

They are good for bird watching, astronomy etc. But I prefer something a little more compact for general use.

They have sat around in various cupboards and more recently my loft unused for several years, and I’ve decided they need to go to someone who will make better use of them.

Optically they seem absolutely 100% – I’ve tried focusing on objects at various distances. I can’t detect any bloom or misting on the lenses. 

One of the things I like about these glasses is that they have separately adjustable focus for the right lens – useful if you normally wear spectacles but take them off when using binoculars.

All four lens caps are present. There are a few signs of wear and tear on the barrels of the binoculars, but nothing which affects performance. Most but not all of these are in the pics.

The case is a little worn – again see pics. Please ask for further pics if relevant.

The small label in the centre says Passed – Japan Telescope Inspection Institute.

The front central pivot is marked Japan No. 1044.
