ZeissD.F.7×50 binoculars – Kriegsmarine and Artillery inscriptions -reticuleTheseD.F.7×50 binoculars are in good original condition. There is theusual paint rubbing and a few signs of previous paint touch up, butgenerally the original paint is good. The top plates in particularhave their original paint and very clear inscriptions. The simulatedleather covering is all secure with just one tiny 2mm chip. The eyecups are original and undamaged. There is a very small edge nibble toone prism seen when reverse viewed but is totally unseen with normalviewing. There are some tiny specks of dust on the reticule. Thelenses and prisms are otherwise clean and clear with normal viewingbeing good and collimated. Both oculars focus smoothly. The veryclear inscriptions include the Kriegsmarine bird over the letter Malongside the Carl Zeiss Jena logo with the T above. The modelD.F.7×50 and the serial number 1971639 are below. The right handplate has the Coastal Artillerie symbol Artl., with Nr.861 assumed tobe the Kriegsmarine inventory number. The binoculars also have theiroriginal strap which is in good condition but should not be reliedupon.
