They are in excellent condition and have been well looked after. As you would expect, there are some signs of use and wear, but overall, they are really good as I have always taken care of them. They haven’t been out in the rain (although are water resistant) and have been kept well away from dirt and grime. The leather case is dark brown (looks black in the photos) which is also in great condition, but does have some use and age related marks. It also retains the original neck-strap.
The lenses are also in really good condition having been carefully looked after and rarely cleaned. When they have needed a clean, that have only been done with the correct lens cloth and cleaning solution.
The binoculars still have the original leather neck-strap.
They have recently been back to Zeiss for a check over and to lubricate the focus wheel which had become a little stiff from lack of use. They did the lubrication and gave them the once over FOC which was great service from Zeiss. The focus wheel now glides smoothly and is really easy to focus.
Light transmission and image quality is excellent as you would expect from binoculars of this quality. They are well balanced and really easy to use.
