WWII US NAVY BU. SHIPS MARK III MOD 5 SPENCER BUFFALO 7 X 50 BINOCULARS 1941 (USED)
This pair of Spenser Buffalo 7 X 50 WWII US Navy Bu. Ships binoculars are in fairly good condition for their age having been made in 1941 and come with a neck strap . The optics are in reasonable condition , some scratches to the exterior glass but no fungus inside only age related dirt which does not seem to affect the image quality too much . The focusing is by individual eyepiece rotation , in other words you focus one side first using the eyepiece then do the same with the other side to match . The eyepieces are fairly stiff to use but are usable , the folding mechanism is easy to use . The body work is fairly good condition considering it is over 75 years old and has been through a war . They come with a nick strap . There are two sets of serial numbers :- 19492 on the plate by the right hand eyepiece and 8268 on the pivot plate at the front .
