A pair of vintage WW2 period RAF i.e. Royal Air Force X5 BINOPRISM MK IV 6E/383 binoculars with Serial number 672. The binoculars 5×40 were built by Ross under Royal Air Force contract and they bear a Military Crow’s foot arrow with 6E/383 which is an RAF Stores code. They have Field of View 10 degrees and the B marking indicates the optics are ‘ bloomed ‘ i.e. coated. The lenses are in very good condition free from chips, the binoculars give a good single image (some dark spotting to inside of left eyepiece which do not affect the quality of the image). Cosmetically, they are in good condition for their age with mainly, only expected wear with use to outer surface finish.
