These WW1 field glasses/binoculars and case, were my grandfathers.
He was Major F J Wilde MC of the Royal Army Service Corps, and saw action in France.
Mentioned twice in dispatches and was awarded the Military Cross.
See photographs of relevant dispatch certificates and of Google information concerning his involvement of the breaking of the Hindenberg line.
