If you think this means we simply provide a place where children can come to die, you couldnt be further from the truth. We offer comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families in the hospice, in the community and in their home so they can make the most of the time they have left together. We allow parents and carers to relax and recharge their batteries. And we make sure the needs of brothers and sisters are never forgotten. what do we mean by life-limited? We use the term life-limited to describe a child not expected to live beyond 18 years of age. We have supported over 650 children since we opened in 1999. We are there for families in Wales for however long they need us at home, in hospital, at school and in our hospice. Importantly, were also a familys safe haven when their child is close to the end of life, providing expert comfort and support in their darkest hours and beyond. Every year T Hafan has to raise 4 million to provide its free services to families in Wales.The t hafan online team are available to answer any questions you may have Monday-Friday between 9am and 5pm (please note the team are unavailable on bank holidays and weekends). We accept payment via PayPal and ask that payments be made within 7 days on auction items. When will my order be dispatched? We aim to dispatch orders within 2 working days of payment being received. Working days are classed as Monday-Friday excluding public holidays. All items have been donated to T Hafan, the Hospice for Children in Wales, and all money raised from Emporium sales go to supporting children with life limited conditions in Wales. what your shopping can pay for 23 could pay for an hour of emotional support from a family support worker, helping families to deal with the daily challenges they face. 57 could pay for two hours of physiotherapy to ease the pain children and young people experience as a result of their conditions. 184 could pay for a specially trained nurse to care for a child throughout the night, allowing mum and dad to get some much needed rest. 850 could pay for all the medical supplies used at the hospice for a month.
