Vintage WW1 French 3 Way Lens Binoculars Field / Marine / Theatre
Very much in the WW1 French style for private purchase by officers but with a twist.
By turning a knob on the side the eyepiece lenses can be changed to field, marine or theatre!
Ideal if you are a Royal Marine Officer expecting leave in Paris

Focusing mechanism work well. One of the theatre eyepieces is badly cracked. Funnily enough it is not as obvious when looking through them as I would have expected (or maybe my eyes are so bad anything is an improvement). All the other eyepiece lenses and the objective lenses are clear and have no obvious damage I can see. One of the objective lens rings is dented. The loss of leather on one of the shades is mainly a problem on the inside as it has left the shade very loose. There is no case. There are no marking anywhere on the binoculars, suggesting wartime production with a view to protecting the brand after the war.
